Historical Background
The Sri DhumaVati Mandir is part of the legendary Pitambara Peeth, a Shakti complex that has been a prominent center for tantric sadhana and Mahavidya worship. The Peeth was established by swamiji maharaj, a great and mysterious siddha, whose identity remains veiled by choice and divine command.
Maa DhumaVati is worshipped here in Her Yantra Form, in accordance with ancient tantric traditions. The Shrine is secluded and generally approached with deep reverence and silence. Access to Her sanctum is often regulated, and rituals are carried out by specially trained tantric practitioners under strict spiritual discipline.
This Temple is considered one of the very few active centers of Maa DhumaVati worship in north india and holds immense significance for advanced sadhakas, particularly during amavasya and Gupt Navaratri.
